The process

How the free bid review works.

You send the bids. We do the hard reading. You keep the decision, including whether we negotiate. Built for British Columbia homeowners hiring on projects over $50,000.

  1. 01

    Send us your contractor bids

Email the quotes you already have: the price, the scope, allowances, exclusions, and any contract or payment schedule. One bid is enough. Two or three is better — we read them against each other, not just against a feeling.

  2. 02

We review and show you the money

We mark inflated pricing, thin scope, risky allowances, missing exclusions, and terms written for the contractor. You get that in plain language, before any work begins. You stay the client. We do not take over the project or sell you a build.

  3. 03

You decide with full clarity and stronger numbers

You leave with a plain read of what the bids actually say, where the savings are, and what still needs to change in the contract. Hire, push back, or walk away. No obligation to continue with us.

What you receive

  • A line-level read of every bid, not a glance at the totals.
  • Specific flags: price, scope gaps, allowances, exclusions, and payment terms.
  • A negotiation plan you can use yourself — or hand to us.
  • A direct recommendation so you can sign — or refuse — with the numbers in front of you.

Why this protects you

Contractors write bids to win the job and protect their margin. An independent reviewer who has spent 20 years in construction reads what those bids leave unsaid.

You only have full leverage before the contract is signed. After that, every extra is a change order. The review costs nothing. The bid review is free. If you want us to negotiate, the fee is 10% of the documented savings, due only after the contractor agrees in writing. If the price and the terms do not move, you pay nothing.

Bring the bids. Leave with leverage.

The review is free. There is no obligation, and we will not try to sell you construction work.
